Varsity football had a convincing win over Onekama on Friday. The game was called at halftime with the Bobcats leading 38-6. We host Bear Lake on Saturday at 7 pm. Let’s carry the momentum into the playoffs! Good job, guys! –
Great job to the middle school cross country team at their final race of the year! Lindsay brought home a medal, finishing with a PR time of 14:05 in a field full of Traverse City runners. A PR to end the season was also run by Natalie Myers with a 16:15. Great job girls! –
Any and all girls interested in playing JV/Varsity Basketball this year: there will be a mandatory meeting in Mrs. Riggs’s room at 8:10 on Wednesday. –

MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL:

HS Student Council meeting today during lunch. –
Senior class officers: Meeting at 8:00 in Mrs. Riggs’s room tomorrow morning. –
NAHS will be sponsoring a MS/HS Costume Contest Friday Oct 30th, but with a twist. It’s called the Brown Bag Costume challenge and basically you need to make some or all of your costume from grocery store brown bags (There will be some available outside the art room on Monday). Contest Rules and Categories for judging will be posted around the school and on social media. Let’s get creative and have fun. See or ask Mrs. Mobley for more details. –

October is Michigan College Month! Today’s college is Alpena Community College! Alpena is one of a few community colleges that offers on campus housing. One of Alpena’s most popular programs is utility technology which allows students to work as electrical linemen! Students can learn a variety of other trades at Alpena.
