Mandated School Closure

March 13, 2020

Attention: All Families

Good afternoon, Bobcats.  Under Guidance from the Governor’s office there is a state mandated school closure from Monday, March 16th through Sunday, April 5th.  This closure is a preventative effort to slow down the spread of the coronavirus and overwhelming our healthcare system.

This mandatory school closure will essentially freeze all school related activities at the end of the school day today.  There will not be any sports, open gyms, or extra curricular activities. Our school building will be closed for this 3 week period.

To prepare for the potential of additional mandated closure days, students will be sent home with their textbooks.  There will not be any new academic work sent home at this time, but students are encouraged to work on missing work that has already been covered in class.  Student laptops will not be sent home.

There will be future contact with families about when the 3rd quarter marking period will end, and when parent-teacher conferences will occur.  If your child is not in school today and you would like to get their books, please do so prior to 4PM today. You will not be able to enter the building after 4PM today or throughout the closure.  The expected return to school date is Monday, April 6th, not April 7th as the school calendar previously stated. We will continue to update through Facebook, and the school website as we receive more information.  Thank you and stay tuned for further updates.
