Host Families for Exchange Students

The Council for Educational Travel USA (CETUSA) is seeking good host families for exchange students for the next school year:
  • Families provide a bed (may share a bedroom), meals and transportation to and from school. Students bring money to cover personal expenses and activities; $250 a month or more as needed. They are fully insured, have strong English and academic skills and must be recommended by their school to participate in the program.
  • CETUSA, a fully certified non-profit organization, with over 15 years of experience, provides family support with training, monthly student meetings, cultural events, and offering extended travel experiences for students and siblings. Our staff is available 24 hours a day, and has placed about 70,000 students in good homes in the USA over 15 years.
  • Schools earn full FTE for each exchange student, families earn a tax credit, and grow in understanding diversity as a community through student exchange. Please consider opening your home and heart to one of the following youth:
    • Pedro, 16, Brazil; loves school sports especially soccer and basketball and cooking.
    • Alberto, 15; hopes to be a doctor, likes soccer, skiing, movies and has an A average.
    • Dina, 16, Norway; is passionate about animals, all sports especially skiing and horses. Students placed from Scandinavia earn funding for another student to attend school in Africa!
    • Ivana, 16, Croatia; she hopes to be a teacher, is an avid tennis player, and musician.
Please contact me if you would like information on these students, or about the program.
Thank you,
Deborah Crandall, Coordinator
