Manistee Civic Players will be having open auditions for the Christmas play, "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" October 16th and 17th.  They need children and adults of all ages.   Auditions will be held at Manistee High School  at 6:30 pm. both nights.  If you want any more information, see Ms. Karnisz, room 120, in the afternoons for a flyer.

SPORTS:

  • Congratulations to Mariah Pringle!!!  Last night Mariah achieved her 500th Kill and 100th solo block in the Varsity's win over MCE.  (This accomplishment is equivalent to 1000 pts in basketball) .  Her dedicated work ethic and humble sportsmanship makes this milestone even sweeter to enjoy!
  • The Varsity girls beat MCE in last night's volleyball action; 16-25, 25-14, 25-21, and 25-22.  All of the sets were nail-biters but the Bobcats prevailed to continue their winning streak! The team travels to Manistee tomorrow night and then it's off to Baldwin on Saturday for the Conference Tournament.  Make plans to attend this tournament and support your team as they work for the League Title.
  • Our Lady Bobcats are representing our school well. They are also working towards All-star Academic Honors. Good job, ladies!!
MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL:
  • "The SEEDS staff would like to thank all of the students in grades 6th through 9th who joined SEEDS for our trip to Suttons Bay where we spent Tuesday afternoon on the schooner Inland Seas learning about Lake Michigan. All of the students who went with us were great ambassadors of our school and left a great impression on the instructors and crew from the Inland Seas Education Association. They had nothing but glowing compliments about all of you and made it clear you were one of the best groups they have worked with all season. Thank you all for being respectful, asking great questions, being fully engaged in the experiments and most of all being great representatives of your school."
  • Reminder: The 8th and 9th ice cream party is this Friday during lunch in the media center. See you there!
  • The "Make a Difference Day" Food Drive to benefit the Lakeview Church of the Brethren Community Food Pantry is seeking volunteers from 10am-2pm, Saturday, Oct 28 at the Church.  We are also seeking donations of canned goods and toiletries.  Please contact Carissa Smith at 231-655-3426.
