Host family needed for a 16 yr old boy from China.  Loves basketball and is currently in a Welcome home waiting for a permanent one for the school year.  If interested please stop in the office for more information.
Sports Updates:
Awesome volleyball ladies!  However the Bobcat student attendance was disappointing! There were literally SIX bobcat student fans in the stands!  Come on students... it is homecoming week!  Your pride should be at an all time high for EVERY SPORT~
XC runs in Walkerville on Wednesday.  This is their conference race.  They also compete in Manistee on Thursday night.
Girls volleyball home on Thursday vs. Bear Lake!
Super job performed by our varsity football team as they beat Traverse City Christian at home on Saturday.
Great wins last night 8th grade volleyball girls!  Make us Bobcat proud ladies!
High School:
Anyone who is in need of blue paint....don't go buy it.  Josh Riggs has got some for you.
Student council meeting tomorrow during lunch (Wednesday).
Aquinas college will be here on Monday, October 13 @ 1:30 pm.. Students need to sign up in Ms. Bennett's office. 
France & Italy trip enrollees, we will have a meeting in room 136 @ 5 pm on Wednesday, October 15.  Mark your calendars.  We will go over important information regarding the trip, as well as getting fundraising events set up and scheduled.  Parents/guardians may attend this meeting as well.
Students.... the USMC visit has been rescheduled for October 21st.
Starting this week, NHS will be launching the "Fresh Start" Hygeine drive.  We will be collecting soaps, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, etc.  This will also be a class competition for homecoming.  The boxes will be measured by weight not quantity!  The Freshman's box will be in Mr. Kemler's room, Sophomore's box will be in Mrs. Pennington's room, the Junior's box is in Mr. Kinnunen's room and the Senior's box will be in Mr. Walker's room.  The heaviest box will get 100 pts, 2nd place 75 pts, 3rd place 50 pts and 4th place will receive 25 pts.  You must have all products in the dropbox for your class by Thursday, October 9th.
West Shore Community College Night will be held Monday, October 13, 2014 - 6:30 - 8:00 pm @ WSCC Recreation Center Gymnasium.  For more information see Ms. Bennett!!
Juniors! We will be giving the PSAT test to students who are interested in trying for a National Merit Scholarship.  The test will be given on Wednesday, October 15th.  Please sign up in Ms. Bennett's office before Wednesday or see her with any questions.
Any student interested in joining the Onekama ski team this year, please sign up in the office with Ms. Peggy.
The 2014 homecoming dance is Saturday October 11 from 8 - 11pm.  Price is $5.00 for single and $8.00 for a couple.  Refreshments will be provided by the Dublin Store.  If you plan on bringing a guest from another school, a guest form must be filled out and on file prior to the dance.
