ALL SCHOOL:
  • On April 27th KND SEEDS will host the 2nd Annual Family STEM Night from 3:30-6 in the small gym.  Everything free and families are encouraged to attend.  There will be loads of fun activities, games, prizes and eats.    
SPORTS:
  • Tonight Sports Physicals for next year at school from 4-6 pm. Cost is $25.
  • First home track meet tomorrow.  Please email Coach Riggs if you are planning on helping! 
  • Congrats to the baseball and softball players on their victories over Baldwin last night.  The boys were only able to get one game completed before the rain sent us home. For the boys: Kameren Danks led the offense going 1-for-3 with a triple, Josh Riggs was 1-for-2 with 2 runs scored, Jake Riggs was 2-for-4 with a run scored and Kasey Fairbanks was 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored and a double.  Josh pitched all 5 innings racking up 15 strike outs. 
  • For the girls: Mary Voorhees went 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored, Lindsey Krizan also went 2-for-3, driving in 4 runs and scoring 3 more herself, Whitney Dean scored 4 runs and drove in 2 more and Kenzie Voorhees helped her own cause with 1 hit and 3 runs scored in the contest.  Dean had a triple and scored three more runs in the nightcap, Whitney Danks went 3-for-3 with 2 RBI and a run scored, Chloee Janssen walked 3 times and scored three runs and Mariah Pringle and Taytum Myers scored 2 runs each for the Bobcats.
  • Baseball and Softball players please turn in all fundraiser money to Coach MacNeil by tomorrow! There are still a lot of you that haven't gotten it turned in. No one will receive their extra prizes until ALL money is collected.
  • Baseball practice will be from 4:45 to 7 today at the field due to the sports physicals that will be going on after school. This is a great opportunity to get your physical for the next year done and for a great price. Inform your rides according. 
HIGH SCHOOL:
  • Seniors: Pay your fines, turn in pictures, try on your gown, and buy a yearbook, ....get it done! 
  • NAHS meets today at lunch.
  • Prom is Saturday May 7th.  Buy your tickets at lunch.  After prom will be at the school starting at midnight.  There will be bubble soccer, a bounce house, movies, karaoke, video games, board games, and euchre tournaments as well as food and tons of giveaways.  See Ms. Richardson to give ideas for other activities.
  • Prom boutique will open Thursday April 28th from 3-6.  This is our FINAL opening for this school year.
  • Prom tickets will be on sale this week for $25 each.  Couples are $40.  Guest forms must be on file in the office or see Ms. Richardson. 
  • Attendance challenge is in week 2.  Focus on being here each day this week.  Sincerely your wonderful staff.
  • NHS Applicants:  The meeting for students who qualified to apply for NHS is this Wednesday during lunch in room 135.  Your attendance is mandatory if you plan to apply.  Please bring your lunch.  
  • NHS Members:  Those of you who have signed up to clean up outside during lunch on Wednesday should plan on doing so.  There were no objections from any teachers as far as you getting out early, however you will still need to check in with them to get any missing work.  Please also check in with me so that I know you are following through with this.  

  • Manistee Area Driver's Ed Segment 2 class is May 2,3,4 from 6-8 pm taught by Mr. Edmondson at KND.  Cost is $30.  You must have your drivers permit for at least 3 months to take this class.  Call 231-233-3038 to register or just show up.
  • Choir meets every Wed 7:30 am and Fri lunch in the band room

2nd Choice: Chef Salad, Twisted Garlic Breadstick
MIDDLE SCHOOL:  
Congratulations to Rhiannon Gillis, Lauryn Cook, Angelina Jolicoeur, Noah Tighe, Alexis Tracy, Claire Ball, Summer Young, Kaia Richardson, Charlee Hicks, Erica Feller, and David Picard for an awesome day at solo and ensemble.
