All School
HAPPY "Teachers Appreciation Week" to our staff!!
 
There will be another "Hats On" for Haley this Friday, May 9.  Bring your dollar and wear your hat!
 
High School  
Any high school student who requested a copy of the Community Excellence in Eduction Awards program, please stop by the office and pick up a copy for yourself.
 
SENIORS:  There are quite a few of you that have senior fines!  DON'T make me hunt you down.....if you aren't sure about being on my list, then come and ask.  These fines MUST be paid before graduation or I will have your diploma hanging in my office.  Thanks, Miss Peggy!!
 
Also.... Seniors - you will no longer be able to charge school meals beginning Monday, May 12th.  All meal chargs must be paid by Friday, May 16th.  If you don't know how much you owe, please check with Ms. Hiller.  She has a list that is updated on Fridays.
 
Last senior class meeting will be tomorrow, Friday, the 9th in room 136 during breakfast.  Every senior must attend; we hae lots to give you to be prepared for graduation!
 
JV/V basketball players - open gym will be held every Friday morning @ 7:00 am staring tomorrow.  See you there!
 
There will be a volleyball meeting during high school lunch for all interested 9th - 11th grade girls on Thursday, May 15th.  Please leave your 4th period two minutes prior to get your lunch and be in room 136 a.s.a.p
 
Our next volleyball open gym is Sunday, May 18th.  Mark your calendars now to attend!  Annie will be there and we need as many people as possible to step up and commit to improve for the upcoming season.
 
SPORTS PICTURES - have been rescheduled to Tuesday, May 13th.  Coaches should have the picture forms!!
 
It's not too late to sign up for the 3on3 tourney or the Euchre tourney for after prom, but you must be on the after prom list already in order to do so.  Please see Mr. Kinnunen
 
Seniors:  If you are 18 and looking for a summer/full time job, check out the posting on the "student news" board in the hallway.
 
The Michigan Department of Transportation is offering a Youth Program to be run out of the Manistee County Road Commission Garage @ US 31 and Nine Mile Road for the months of May through late August.  Graduating seniors and students 16 and older interested can apply at the road commission, 8946 Chippewa Hwy., Bear Lake.  You must have at least a 2.5 GPA.
 
More summer help needed...... Shomler Canoes & Kayaks located 4 miles south of the intersection of M-37 & M-55 is looking for individuals to hire.  Must be able to work 30 - 40 hours a week, a clean driving record as well as working weekends/holidays. For more information call 231-862-3475.
 
Come out and celebrate the Quest Concert with SEEDS on Friday, May 9th at the Traverse City Opera House.  The performance is at 7:30. Join in the celebration and ride the bus to TC.  We will be having a cook out at 4:30 and bus leaves at 5:45 from the school to return at 10:00 pm.  SEEDS will pay for tickets for any KND student, staff and families that ride the bus.  It is sure to be an incredible night.  Sign up with Nate or Beth
 
This is the last week for selling yearbooks at $37.50.  If students do not purchase one you will be missing out on an awesome collage of this years memories as there will be no extra copies available to purchase next year.
 
There are still some prom goers that need to give Mrs. Mobley the name of their guest so that they can be on the After Prom list and have raffle tickets printed up with their names on them.  This MUST be done by the end of the day FRIDAY!!
 
Middle School

MS track meet home today.... HS tracksters have an away meet that night so we are in desperate need ov volunteer workers.  See Mr. Anderson or Mrs. Riggs if you can help us out.

Doughnuts, muffins, juice and coffee tomorrow morning in the media center starting @ 7:15 for Teacher Appreciation Week.
 
 
Menu: Soft shell tacos, sour cream/salsa, refried beans, mandarin oranges, (tortilla chips for HS) and milk
2nd choice: Chef's salad/dressing, chicken noodle soup, bread stick, fresh fruit/veggies and milk
