All School
ALL students ages 10 and up can enroll in a hunting education course.  For more information, pick up a flyer in the office.
 
On Friday, April 25th there will be a school wide "hats on" for ALL students.  Bring your $1.00 and wear your hat.
 
Students and Staff:  The official "hair cut" assembly will take place next Tuesday, April 29th @ 2:30 in the high school gym.  Only a few more days to bring in your spare change to vote for your favorite canidate.  
 
 
High School  
The following seniors still need to get their senior pictures to the yearbook staff:  V. Acosta, V. Brokaw, D. Campeau, C. Hearty, J. Hicks, B. Otto and J. Shafer.  Our yearbook staff would be happy to take a nice picture of you to use if you make an appointment.  Please see Mrs. Mobley for more information.
 
There will be an informational meeting for students who are interested in playing varsity football next fall.  Coach Rishell will be here on Monday, April 28th, during lunch.
 
There will be an after prom committee meeting on Wednesday, April 30th during high school lunch in the art room.  Please attend!
 
NHS will be conducting a bottle drive tomorrow to raise money for operational costs of the organization--not a fundraiser for a charity.  If you would like to donate your bottles to help us with this, please bring them to school tomorrow.  Students will be taking them after school gets out on Friday.
 
Girls interested in playing volleyball for the 2014 - 15 season:  This Sunday (27th) is another open gym.  You really don't want to miss out on this opportunity to learn from and play with a former MAPS player (Alex) who has displayed exemplary, All-Conference volleyball skills.
 
Students:  If you still have a balance on a 2013-2014 yearbook, please get the remaining balance turned in ASAP.
 
Sophomores and Juniors!  You must sign up again if you are planning on participating in the Career Tech program in Cadillac for next year.  Please sign up for your 1st and 2nd choice in case your first choice is not available.  The sign up sheets are in Ms. Bennett's office.  You must sign up by the end of the day on Thursday.  Thank you!
 
Seniors!  Please check with Ms. Bennett on local scholarships.  New ones available are the Bobcat Pride, Brethren Boosters, Norm Mathison KNDEA and the Bobcat Athletic Boosters.  All four of these are due on April 30th.
 
Also... for those seniors who received the Brethren Athletic scholarship from Ms. Peggy, they are due by Friday, May 2nd.
 
9th grade volleyball girls:  Our on-site volleyball camp is Saturday, May 31st from 10:00 - 3:00 pm.  It will be run by a Ferris volleyball player and is only $35.  Please pay Coach Edmondson by Friday, May 30th to signup for this awesom learning experience!
 
There will be an NHS candidate meeting for those sophomores and juniors who have received letters of qualification.  This meeting will take place today, April 24th at 12:20 in room 135.  If you can not attend and wish to apply, you must see Mrs. Amstutz BEFORE this meeting.  It will be assumed that students who do not attend the meeting do not wish to apply at this time.
 
Juniors/Seniors:  Prom is just around the corner on Saturday May 10th @ Crystal Mountain Resort.  The junior class will be selling tickets starting thisweek April 21st - 25th and the following week April 28th - May 2nd during lunch at the big B.  Tickets will be $15.00 this year.  This reduced price is thanks to our school hosting districts which was a big boost to the prom budget.  You can also sign-up for after prom during this time.
 
 
SENIORS - Mrs. Edmondson needs a senior picture for the News Advocate graduation issue by tomorrow, the 25th.  At that time, you will sign a release for the paper.  Thank You!
 
 
Middle School
There will be a football meeting on Monday, April 28th for students interested in participating next fall.  Coach Rishell will be here during your lunch time.
 
6th grade girls: It's never too early to learn how to bump, set, spike!  Remember that we are having our Blue Zoo Volleyball again this year during the month of May.  Our first practice will be May 5th ater school in the high school gym.  Coach Edmondson needs your $10 by the end of the day on Friday, May 2nd.
