ALL SCHOOL:
  • Thank you for the awesome bobcat spirit during the water drive. We far exceeded our goal of 600, bringing in close to 1,000! Thank you!
  • Last week we raised $78 for Homeward Bound, for a total of $144.  Let's keep it going and shoot for 100 people participating this week!  Bring a dollar and wear a hat on Friday!  
SPORTS: 
  • The JV boys basketball team pulled out an impressive victory over Bear Lake on Saturday. The Varsity boys basketball team suffered a tough loss in the final minutes..
  • Middle School Girls basketball - no practice today. Practice after school tomorrow until 5:30. There will also be a meeting in Mr. MacNeil's room during lunch tomorrow. 
  • This upcoming Saturday is the last for Bobcat basketball fundamentals. We hope to see you there!
  • Varsity girls soccer conditioning has started.  A meeting will be held Thursday during lunch. 
  • Trevor Klump From University of Detroit Mercy is going to be here on Feb 20 from 12-1:30 to give a presentation on strength and conditioning. 
HIGH SCHOOL:
  • Tomorrow HS  Varsity and JV quiz bowl teams travel to Traverse City Central for the first of four Wednesday competitions.   Wish them luck!!  We will compete against TC Central, TC West, Gaylord, Cadillac, Bear Lake, TC St. Francis, McBain Northern Christian, Gaylord St. Mary's, and Interlochen. 
  • HS Quiz Bowl will meet in Mr. Griffin's room today at lunch.  This is a mandatory meeting that all must attend! 
  • Robotics will meet today, Thursday and Friday until 5:30.  We will probably meet Saturday morning as well...For those who worked on it Friday....great workday
  • NHS will have meeting during lunch tomorrow, Wednesday.  
  • France & Italy Trip Travelers and Parents/Guardians: Remember our departure meeting is next week, Wednesday, the 24th in Room 136. Bring a French or Italian dish to pass. Drinks will be provided. This marks exactly ONE MONTH before we leave for Europe; let's get pumped! Remember, it is imperative to turn in all documents to Mrs. Edmondson at this time as well. See you then.
  • For those of you who received an invitation for the information meeting about the European Quartet 2017 Trip, tonight at 6pm is our meeting in Room 136. This is for interested travelers and/or their parents/guardians. If you cannot make the meeting, please contact Mrs. Edmondson to get your missed information.
  • Announcements:   NAHS you DO NOT have a meeting today, though we do need to make sure their are five students signed up for after school art.  Tonight and tomorrow are pottery, so the help will be greatly appreciated.  Next Mon & Tue it will be t-shirt designs.  Also don't forget we need to clean up the lights and glow sticks from snowball decorating.  Bueller?
  • BHS Choral will meet tomorrow morning at 7:30 in the art room.  Those that attended our first meeting, remember you are encouraged to recruit a friend.  If you couldn't make the first meeting, but are interested, come see Mrs. Mobley for more info.
  • The yearbook class wants to remind SENIORs that we need your senior pictures ASAP and before spring break otherwise we use your mug shot.  (Or you can arrange for one of our wonderful staff photographers to take a professional looking photo for you)
  • Attention Snowball dance attendees.  Your yearbook class woul dlove it if you could share with us some of your wonderful photo memories from the night.  You can do this by uploading to Replayit.com or emailing your photos to Mrs. Mobley at mobleya@manistee.org

MIDDLE SCHOOL:  
  • The Math Counts Team took 3rd place at the Regional Math Counts Competition...This was quite an accomplishment for our first year!!! Way to go Bobcats!!


  • The MS St. Council would like to thank the MS teachers: Mr. Veith, Mr. Wojo, Mrs. King, Mr. Anderson and Mr. Kemler for your flexibility in allowing the 7th and 8th graders a rewarding Friday.
